Usually if USSR goes tanks they will take 2 tanks out and put in 2 SPAA to shoot down German planes. USSR may go mediums or not but I typically see heavies from them aswell.

Typically for Germany you will only see heavies for the most part (obviously). Tank convert templates are really only an MP strat typically since it requires a lot of army xp and boosted industry so I will ignore this aspect* Once you kinda dip below that your tanks will demand a lot from your industry and get weak constantly as they take damage from pushing. HP can vary depending on the template purpose but around 250 or so is good. There is technically a 'most efficient' way but it only really works in MP because it uses a lot of army xp. Resistance suppression is either armored cars (rare) or calvary with mp. Maybe has potential uses but it doesn't defend as well as a 10-0 nor does it attack as well as a 14-4 so it's kinda just a crappy jack of all trades. But for countries like minors/Japan who don't build many/any tanks Unless Japan does the meme spg tank strat it can be useful to some degree.)ħ-2 inf. (Pushing with infantry is typically a terrible idea wouldn't recommend in most cases. Just a defensive width infantry unit to hold, sometimes with support companies sometimes not.ġ4-4 inf. Typically when I played MP I see these general templates:ġ0-0 inf. Not too mention specially in MP many nations have specific templates that work only for them due to their specific industry/battle zones.* Just a small disclaimer, things change drastically from MP to Single player so idk how much of this will be applicable to your gameplay.
